  • Land
    a) Whether land (acquired) is registered in the name of the institution “deemed to be university” With the permission of UGC and MHRD, the University uses the same registration as Ramakrishna Mission, its parent body / sponsoring society. All the land is registered in the name of Ramakrishna Mission and allotted to the University by a resolution of the Governing Body of Ramakrishna Mission

    Nature of use of Auditoriums (get details of events held there in the last 2 years) Belur campus: 2-day seminar on ‘Indian Scientific Heritage’ held in February 2007; Foundation day celebration held on 4 July 2007; Foundation day and Convocation held on 4 July 2008, 2009; Coimbatore, Narendrapur, Ranchi campus: Various seminars, workshops, awareness programmes, etc conducted. Coimbatore campus conducted convocations in 2006, 2007, 2008 for the Faculties of Disability and Physical Education.

  • Laboratory (institution-wise)

    c) Whether high value equipments are used and in what frequency Yes, constantly used; as examples, the Braille equipment at our Coimbatore Centre, tissue culture lab, equipment at our Centres at Ranchi and Narendrapur

    e) Whether faculty is capable of using laboratory equipments Yes
  • Classrooms (institution-wise)
    a) Ratio of area of classrooms / lecture halls only to number of regular students Since the no. of students in specialized areas like Disability Management and Special Education, Integrated Rural Development, Theoretical Computer Science, Pure Mathematics, Theoretical Physics etc (many at the postgraduate/research level) is fairly small, class rooms about 300-400 sq. ft. are being used for students’ strength of 20-30. In the new buildings being constructed, we have provision for a large no. of class rooms/discussion rooms/seminar rooms etc. with a view to future expansion
    b) Number of shifts when classrooms are utilized Day shift only
    c) Whether classrooms are used for Distance Learning programmes No. But Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has provided satellite connectivity to the University for tele-education, tele-medicine etc. under ISRO-VRC (Village Resource Centre) scheme
